Galentine’s Day is around the corner, officially on February 13th. It’s [almost] more popular than Valentine’s Day. Every year, I host a few of my girlfriends to celebrate the holiday and our friendship.
This year, to celebrate, I styled a Galentine’s Day bar cart featuring adorable sweets. I included DOVE® Bourbon Vanilla Dark Chocolate & Almond Brittle Milk Chocolate Bars, which I found at CVS. Like I’ve mentioned before, when I plan a party, I love to carry the theme throughout all of the elements. For this party, I built the theme around DOVE® Bourbon Vanilla Dark Chocolate.
Galentine’s Day is all about pinks, reds, and chocolate. I wanted to carry an element of decadence through this year’s set up, too, which is why I chose DOVE® Bourbon Vanilla Dark Chocolate and Almond Brittle Milk Chocolate. They’re premium, silky chocolate bars that fit the theme perfectly.
To have some fun and reminisce about old stories, I put together a simple question card game. Using card stock from Paper Source and my inkjet printer, I created game cards. To add a special touch, I decided to emboss a gold flower on them, which I created a quick tutorial here. I love this idea because it sparks great conversation and stories from so long ago. It’s sure to get your Galentines giggling!
I love to send guests home with favors. It’s a nice thank you for coming. Favors don’t need to be expensive; they can be super simple. For the favors, I bought extra DOVE® Bourbon Vanilla Dark Chocolate and Almond Brittle Milk Chocolate Bars from CVS Pharmacy™.
I wrapped them with super simple twine from my local store and added a handmade tag. Using a large circular hole punch, I cut the tag. Then, I embossed paper with pink powder and, using my heart punch, I glued the heart to the tag and perfecto—a cute gift tag. By writing in a sweet saying, it tied in with the theme. The DOVE® Chocolate Bars were an inexpensive thank you and perfectly fitting for the theme.
