It feels like yesterday I was working on designing the Girl Meets Party studio. In fact, if you haven’t seen the before and after, you should really check it out. It’s incredible.
But over the last year, the business has grown leaps and bounds. Particularly after taking it full-time, things have seemed to click. One of the reasons I initially got the studio was because we were pregnant and needed to make space for baby. I actually shared the before and after of how we prepped our condo for baby.
The dining room table is crucial for my shoots. I shoot all of my brand collaborations using the table. So, if the table had to leave our condo, it needed to move somewhere that I could still use it. Hello, Girl Meets Party Studio. In fact, much of the furniture we had in Lincoln Park made its way to the Girl Meets Party studio.
The studio has been wonderful the last year. It has served its purpose while I figured out what my true services are for Girl Meets Party. It’s also been my first official office outside the home. Since it’s around the corner from where I live, it’s the perfect place to run home and check on Emmie & the nanny or quickly jet out for a party. But in all honesty, I miss people. I forgot it would just be me working at the Girl Meets Party studio. Now that I’m not in a traditional work environment, I want to see others, and the studio can be lonely. Plus, I’m reallllllly hoping we find a house soon and all of my belongings can be under one roof again.
However, when one door closes, another one opens. I’m super excited to share that I’m joining The Wing and I’ll be working from Fulton Market 2-3 days a week. I’m thrilled to make new friends and call a new space home. It’ll be great to have a communal feel somewhere that’s not a coffee shop. Plus, you know how much I love strong women, which is what The Wing is all about! If anyone else is joining, will you let me know? Cheers to new beginnings!
