Three Tips for Hosting Any Party

Hosting is an easy task if you have a pattern you can follow each time.  Like anything else, once you set a routine, it’s easy to repeat.  Follow these simple rules to pull together a party in minutes.

1. Pick your go-to appetizers

One of my favorite ways I learned my go-to appetizers was from a monthly cooking club my girlfriends & I hosted for years.  I love to pick easy appetizers and plus them up with a little something extra.  For example, pigs in a blanket is a super easy appetizer.  Sprinkle your pigs in a blanket with poppy seeds and pair it with a spicy mustard to spice it up.

2. Keep cocktail napkins and paper plates on hand… and of course, a bottle of bubbly

Being ready for a casual get together is so much easier when you have plates, napkins and a bottle or two to drink on hand.  I love these Kate Spade lookalike paper plates and napkins for almost any event.

3. Invest in flexible platters & glasses for any occasion

Nora Flemming is one of the best platters to invest in particularly if you’re tight on space.  A designer from the Chicagoland area, Nora created beautiful, neutral platters with a teeny hole in them to hold a festive icon.  She’s designed hundreds of icons to choose from so you can easily flex this platter to any season or occasion.

Meet Jen

I’ve always had a love affair with creation. Since I was a child, I handmade my gifts or combined toys to design something new. Fast forward twenty years, and I’m still making my gifts every holiday and designing new ways to do things.
